Abley Letchford provided engineering and transport planning assistance in support of several residential development reserved matters planning applications for approximately 1200 residential units.
The scope of services included transport advice, preliminary highways and drainage design, including balancing ponds, SuDS and a foul pumping station. Finished floor levels for the units as well as retaining features were designed and assessed to comply with planning protocols.
Separate phases of development necessitated a full design strategy of the overall site in order to ensure the early phases did not compromise the wider strategy.
In addition to the design of individual residential parcels, Abley Letchford completed a survey of the surrounding ditches, headwalls and outfall points to determine a hierarchy of critical infrastructure and provide a tool for evaluating potential blockages and their consequence.
Abley Letchford are retained to provide transport, utility and infrastructure consultancy services for the residual non-residential parcels.
